St. Paul E-Democracy - 2003 Goals
(Last Updated - 1/14/02)

Brainstorming List! (Work in Progress) What ideas would you like to add to the list? E-mail

1)

Serve as a vital conduit for information about the 2003 city council and school board races. To stimulate informative discussions on the election and to provide access to candidates and campaign workers.

  • Set up an Election 2003 committee to plan for online debates or campaign related discussions.
  • To keep an up-to-date and comprehensive list of links related to the 2003 St. Paul city elections.
2)

To broaden the level of participation in the management of the St. Paul Issues Forum.

  • To have regular meetings to discuss the forum, ideas for improvement, and to plan for upcoming events.
  • To set up a NEWS committee, that is responsible for posting the URL of St. Paul related news to the forum.
  • Make better use of volunteers - See volunteer list.
3) To raise $6000 for a 3 month outreach initiative.
4) To move the St. Paul Issues Forum from Yahoogroups to E-Democracy's own family of @mnforum.org lists.
5)

Bob Treumann: I'd like to see the e-democracy forums ( not just SP Issues ) use more of the available internet media tools than just email. For instance, Yahoo has chat, files, photos, links, database, polls and calendar sections.

  • A database table showing the contact information for local media and talk shows.
  • Calendar entries for upcoming events such as hearings, protests, rallies and e-democracy social gatherings
  • Photos of interest, political and social
  • Links, categorized and kept up to date.
