Fear of same-sex relations and supportive components there of, including: same-sex support groups, same-sex health programs, HIV organizations, and gay clubs, among others.
3. If elected, how would you use your board position to benefit the GLBT community?
My door would always be open to members of the GLBT community and I would want members to educate me on any issues and concerns that arise. I would advocate for extending the full range of benefits to unmarried partners of city employees.
4. What experience have you had with the Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender (GLBT) issues and why are they important to you?
I have always been a supporter of GLBT issues because GLBT community members are human beings and I believe human rights to be supreme over all other rights. I have watched the struggle of my friends and family, members of whom are gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered, and I want to be an advocate for the rights of all underrepresented and discriminated against groups.
