Dear Friend,

I have just learned that an anonymous attack postcard (with no legal disclaimer) has been received by some delegates to our 9th ward convention. This postcard did not come from me or anyone else in my campaign. I believe anonymous personal attacks should not be part of any campaign.

For the record: I chose to support Al Gore for President last year. While I understand the frustration of some other Gore supporters, I do not disparage anyone else for their presidential choices.

It has been suggested that those who voted for Ralph Nader last year should be

barred from participating in our convention this Saturday. Again, my campaign

will not support this or any other effort to discourage participation.

I look forward to seeing ALL of you this Saturday.
