Question 7: Is Northwest too dominant at Minneapolis/St. Paul International, and what is the role, if any, for the governor in the current situation with the airline?
Northwest is a good company with good employees -- but their
first priority must be a commitment to their customers. What our
airline customers need is more choices and greater competition.
As Governor, I will work with Governors in other airline hub
states to encourage competition from other airlines. Bottom
line: we must reduce the stranglehold that monopoly carriers have
on their customers.
