Ken Pentel Response 5
Question 5: Please describe the one issue that is the single most important reason you chose to run for office?
I cannot specifically pinpoint one single issue that is
more important to me than any other issues. I am
concerned about our investments that are deteriorating
our natural resources and our economies that are not
giving people full human dignity. Our natural resources
defined as our air, water, soil and habitat; and dignity
defined as food, shelter, clothing, health care,
education, transportation and living wage jobs.
I am also very concerned by the fact that our current two
party electoral system allows centralized corporate
economic interests to fund the campaigns of our elected
officials in both parties and allows these same interests
to lobby the halls of our state capitol interfering with
the intent of the citizens in our governments decision
making process.
