Frank Germann      Response 2

Question 2: Evaluate the performance of the press in covering the on-going presidential scandal, the private lives of politicians, and please indicate whether or not you consider yourself a role model.

I have heard way too much about the president's sex life and
sex scandal.

I have young children in my house, so every time I hear this
topic being discussed, I turn the TV off or switch channels.
In my opinion, the press has paid way too much attention to
this supposed problem, and has neglected problems like filegate,
White Water, travelgate, and the problem with foreign campaign
contributions. I suspect that the sex scandal is just a coverup
to divert attention from the real problems.

As for myself being a role model, I think I can beat the
president, but that's not hard. I am sure that my bedroom
manners will never attract anyone's attention since I am much
too boring in that respect. I have never been involved in
anything even remotely suggesting scandal.

I think I fit the bill as a positive model however. I've been
married to the same woman for 28 years. I have eight children
and one grandchild. All of my children appear to be turning
out just fine (knock on wood).

I have no vices. I rarely missed a day of work in my 31 years
with the government. I graduated in Civil Engineering from the
University of Minnesota, Institute of Technology in only four
years. I do volunteer work for various organizations. I think
I have been a model citizen.
